Vehicle Integration Engineer
Blackmore Sensors and Analytics, Inc. seeks a Vehicle Integration Engineer to contribute to their research and product development efforts. Blackmore develops lidar engines, sensors, and analytics for both defense and commercial markets.
Developing and optimizing combined hardware / software systems and procedures for vehicle-based mobile deployment of lidar sensors in support of real time and post-processed lidar data analytics. This role involves interaction and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of optical scientists, data scientists, and embedded and client-side software engineers.
Please note that these are required:
Competence with C/C++ based data acquisition
Strong background with vehicle electrical systems
Experience with CAN, TTP, and/or FlexRay network protocols
Experience with hands on integration of hardware onto vehicles
Valid driver’s license
It would be really cool if you had some of these:
BSc or higher degree in relevant engineering or scientific field
Experience with automotive sensor systems
Strong verbal and written communication skills
An ability to provide professional demonstrations
Experience with CAD software for mechanical integration tasks
Light fabrication / machining experience
