Systems Engineer II

Blackmore Sensors and Analytics, Inc. seeks a Systems Engineer to review, troubleshoot, and integrate Lidar systems in the new product introduction group. Blackmore is developing lidar engines, sensors, and analytics for both military and commercial markets.

Primary Responsibilities

Working to review and verify complex, high-performance Lidar systems; tracking and disseminating product requirements into design and test requirements; authoring test procedures and collecting test data; working between engineering specialties to ensure a cohesive system design; maintain interface control documentation; contribute to, maintain, and verify system models; contributing to a team of engineers, scientists, and technicians on new technology development from conception through R&D to sustainable production of reliable commercial products.

Please note that these are required:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field with GPA of 3.5+

  • 5+ years of product development experience (MS degree can substitute for 2 years of experience)

  • Experience troubleshooting complex, embedded systems

  • Demonstrated understanding of modern digital communications or remote sensing

  • Demonstrated understanding of signals, systems, circuit analysis, and numerical methods

  • A strong interest in system modeling, specification, and verification

It would be really cool if you had some of these:

  • Experience working with Radar, Ladar, or Lidar

  • Building complex system models to represent physical systems numerically

  • Signal processing, robotics, optics, and/or control systems

  • Python, C++, and Matlab
