Software Engineer II

Blackmore Sensors and Analytics, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer to contribute to their research and product development efforts. Blackmore develops lidar engines, sensors, and analytics for both defense and commercial markets.

Primary Responsibilities

Developing and optimizing tools for managing real world and simulated data of lidar sensors. This role actively assists in the refinement and development of workflows in support of real time and post-processed lidar data analytics and involves interaction with an interdisciplinary team of optical scientists, data scientists, and embedded and client-side software engineers.

Please note that these are required:

  • Competence with in C/C++/C#

  • Strong background in big data management and processing

  • Experience with lidar or other large, geospatial data sets

  • Knowledge of cloud-based data management systems

It would be really cool if you had some of these:

  • A computer science, mathematics, physics, or related degree

  • Experience with automotive sensors

  • Knowledge of ray tracing using OptiX and/or CUDA

  • Expertise in remote sensing, imaging, data fusion, and/or full-stack point cloud processing

  • Data visualization expertise
