Rapid Prototyping Machinist
Blackmore Sensors and Analytics, Inc. seeks a Rapid Prototyping Machinist to contribute to their product R&D and manufacturing efforts. Blackmore develops lidar engines, sensors, and analytics for both defense and commercial markets.
Fabricating prototype and production parts using CNC and manually-operated tools, validating quality and correctness of fabricated parts, maintaining and upgrading the company’s machine shop capabilities and working with the engineering team to optimize the manufacturability of designs.
Please note that these are required:
Associate’s Degree or higher
1+ years of professional experience as a machinist
Proficiency programming and operating CNC mills and lathes
Working knowledge of manually-operated machine-shop tools
It would be really cool if you had some of these:
Experience with Tormach PCNC Milling Machines
Experience with modeling and cam in Autodesk Fusion 360
Experience pertaining to 4th and 5th axis machining strategies
Experience in rapid prototyping

This is a part-time, hourly position with the possibility of moving to full-time upon 6 month review and company needs. Some travel may be necessary.
