Integrated Photonics Engineer III
Blackmore Sensors and Analytics, Inc. seeks an Integrated Photonics Engineer to contribute to their research and product development efforts. Blackmore develops lidar engines, sensors, and analytics for both defense and commercial markets.
Research and Product Development efforts focused on the integrated photonic components and subsystems of Blackmore’s 3D Lidar Imaging systems.
Please note that these are required:
M.S. in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent field
Five years of experience in the field of integrated photonics
Demonstrated excellence and work ethic in a research environment
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and lead tasks to solve challenging problems
Team player with demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills
It would be really cool if you had some of these:
PhD in a scientific or engineering discipline
Expertise in photonic circuit design, fabrication, or packaging
Strong theoretical and experimental background in electromagnetics, nanophotonics, Fourier optics, diffraction theory, imaging systems, and/or signal processing
Experience in ladar, lidar, radar, laser remote sensing, and imaging
Experience with some of the following software: Matlab, Python, Zemax, Code5, Lumerical, COMSOL
